Notice the coyote at bottom left of this tile figurine, about to depress a TNT plunger. The wires lead off the tile and reappear on the right side, attached to dynamite below a roadrunner. The puffs of smoke on the canyon road are a clue to what happens next. Above the coyote on the mountainside is a cowardly lemming that prefers to climb rather than jump. To his right are two ibex, watching to see the outcome of the coyote/roadrunner encounter. A bald eagle with young and a bat wait for their mates to return from "Whirligig Rainbow." The legend "Kilroy was near. . .ly" was inscribed on the rock by a climber who ran out of luck at a critical stage. Between the two right-hand peaks is a cable car with passenger taking in the view. Climbing down from the peak is Rufus, heading off to his sunbathing paramour of the hour. |
