“Tendresse” is French for tenderness. Sculptor Ann Richmond’s “Tendresse” – a signed and numbered limited edition of 500 - depicts a Renaissance angel cradling a cat, the epitome of gentleness. Within this box figurine, a curled up cat holds a bottle of frankincense. The aroma of frankincense is said to represent life and the Judaic, Christian and Islamic faiths have often used it to anoint the most tender amongst us-newborn infants. |
